I take a 3 mile walk, three times a week, while my husband is doing Physical Therapy. This week I found a yard with several California Poppies blooming. Such an unseasonal find; they usually bloom in the Spring. It made me happy.

It seems to have been such a bizarre weather year all around. At least you have a pretty flower to enjoy.

What a lovely capture. I live about 90 minutes from the poppy reserve in CA, and frequent it in the spring to take photos.
