First of the Month

My subjects are these sycamore trees.  Not much happening, perhaps next month there'll be some green!

The goal is to capture one thing repeatedly on the first of each month.  It can be a landscape, a person, an animal, a project; whatever your focus is, is fine.  It can even be a record of where you are each First of the Month.  I'll open the linky each month on the 1st, and leave it open for a week, to give everyone a chance to post.  Let's see if this flies.  (Please link back to this blog, thanks.)

Go take more photos,

  1. I don't know why but for some strange reason it makes me feel better to see that your tree isn't doing anything yet either. :))

  2. Hi Jan! Still loving your meme and it certainly has me paying attention with camera in hand to the Kentucky skies. Today I got over in your territory and did a photo of sycamores against a brilliant blue sky. I especially love your second photo--closeup of tree limbs against the sky. Lovely.

  5. I love this idea! I'll have to catch up next month, though, since I just missed this month!

I have no idea how I'll choose my subject!

  6. the silhouette of the tree against the sky is very striking.

And at least trees will change eventually . . . right now I'm wondering why I chose a landscape with dry arid mountains, they are always gray. Rocks don't change much. But I'll persevere, I've never really given much thought to how the place I live looks to others.

Your tree looks so stately standing there waiting for spring. Have a great day!

  13. Jan, I just came across your new meme and of course I like it. I have just the tree I want to watch and post at the first of every month. Of course it's been pouring rain all day so I'll try again tomorrow... :)

  16. I'm just starting First of the Month and am looking forward to each month as changes take place over the seasons. I'm a "tree" person. Our fruit orchard gives me many reasons to love them.

Your sycamore trees are so tall. I like the shot looking up through the branches toward the sky.
