Some help, please

Not the best photos, but I was wondering if anyone could identify two different birds.

This small bird hangs out in my roses and the rosemary.  During the Spring they build a nest in the Bluebird nesting box I keep on the patio table.  They are very quick, and flit about, endlessly.  These are the best photos I'm been able to get of them.

This small bird has a golden chest and I've seen him on my morning walks.  The other morning the ravens were really harassing him.  I'm not a "birder", by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't think it's a hawk.  When he flies, his wings are not full, like a hawks.

If you haven't fallen over laughing at me, and if you have any idea of the identity of these tow birds, please let me know.
Go take more photos,

  1. I'm no birder either but I would definitely say the second is a hawk, especially since the ravens were harassing it, happens here all the time!
