First of the Month

A couple of shots of my roses, for this month. It's almost the end of the season.

The goal is to capture one thing repeatedly on the first of each month. It can be a landscape, a person, an animal, a project; whatever your focus is, is fine. It can even be a record of where you are each First of the Month. I'll open the linky each month on the 1st, and leave it open for a week or so, to give everyone a chance to post. . (Please link back to this blog, thanks.)

Go take more photos,

When you sign in with mr. linky, be sure you're linking your 1st of the month post; not your blog address.

  1. so do they quit blooming and then do you cut them back? you are aware that ours were killed in a very unusual move by jack frost. however, I have had a few blooms stay on into the holidays because the weather cools and it is like a giant cooler and keeps a bloom fresh for weeks. But then we cut them back twice. The first cut is about waist high and then my husband would put mulch of some sort around the base to protect from dry winter wind and cold. And then just at springs touch he would cut them back knee high and away they would grow

  3. The roses at the end of the season are the most precious, aren't they? Last night was our coldest night and even chillier tonight. No more roses for us!

Jan, I have just enjoyed this meme so much--thank you for hosting.
