Oden and I were having lunch, last week, prior to going to the San Diego Zoo. This bee was slowly walking across the bench Oden was sitting on. I scooped the bee onto this drink lid, and placed him outside. After we'd finished eating, he was still there, so I took these. I don't think he was feeling very well.
Now, go visit Lisa, to see who else played today.
Wow! Great macro. Perhaps he was honey-logged. ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazing detail especially the first image.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely incredible!
ReplyDeleteWith the wonderful closeups, you say that I must have gotten close to the toads. That's funny Jan.

ReplyDeleteGlad he was moving slow for you. :) These are great! I'm always hesitant around bees, I so don't like to get stung!

I'm in awe...awesome details!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos, and such a shame she wasn't feeling good. Sometimes they're sleepy like that when it's cold here in the autumn (a classic time to get stung, here in England), but in San Diego ... ? Maybe the poor thing had a bee virus, or parasites. :(
ReplyDeleteCool! Your this shot is just perfect.
