Ruby Tuesday



I'm pretty sure this is desert fuchsia. I spotted it growing by the side of the road, when we were returning from Borrego Springs, last week.

They are called Skyrocket, also called scarlet gilia. Had to look them up after doing exactly what you did, photographed while driving to Borrego Springs on Sunday, March 29th. http://sandiegousa.blogspot.com/2009/04/skyrockets-at-anza-borrego.html://
