Sky Watch

Happy Friday, Everyone.

On a clear day, we can see forever, or at least 30 miles.  I asked Bob how far it was to Palomar Observatory from here.  He thought it was about 30 miles, if you were a bird, flying in a straight line.  It's about a 40-42 mile drive.

In the 2nd photo you can just make out the Obervatory; it's that white dot on the rear set of mountains, on the left.

You'll see beautiful skies from all over the world.

  2. Thirty miles is a long, long way to see. Your air must be pollution free. Wish I could say the same about the visibility here north of Toronto.

  3. These are wonderful shots, Jan. My photo is for "Looking at the Sky on Friday" Tish's meme. :)
