An apple placed in my garden, (I don't grow them). The leaves and shadows are from the nicotina plant; it has beautiful flowers and a heavenly scent, like jasmine, but all parts of the plant are poisonous.

YUM! I LOVE apples.
ReplyDeleteI love the aroma of nicotiana, especially the white-flowering ones.
I had no idea Nicotina plants had a scent?
ReplyDeleteLove the apple pictures, they look delicious!
Pure natural Red. That's a beautiful an ecologic composition.
ReplyDeleteHappy Ruby Tuesday, Jan.
Mmm, what sweet pictures, love the top one.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a fragrant tobacco plant, but I've never manage to make them work in my garden or in my flower boxes, they never get that scent and they attract lots of bugs (the nasty kind)...:/
I really like these shots Jan.
ReplyDeleteLove the shadows in the first shot and I'm drawn to the top of the apple in the second one. Love the pattern of the peel.
Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteInitially i thought is apple tree. ;p
ReplyDeleteThis is charming, Jan. And thanks for the link on the worm composting. I need lots of help!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the warning!
ReplyDeleteActually, aren't jasmines also poisonous? Seems like it.
I hope it didn't poison your apple, that would be a shame!
Nicotina. I'll have to remember that. Maybe that's what I smell sometimes when something smells wonderful but I don't see any flowers around. I look around thinking, "What is that smell!?"
ReplyDeletethe top apple shot is wonderfully composed!!
ReplyDeleteJan, great idea placing the apple there among the beautiful green leaves! Happy Ruby Tuesday! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos...each with nice tones and contrasts.
ReplyDeleteI like the first shot, especially, because of the shadows!! Somehow, I think this is the Ruby Tuesday shot I have liked the best, of all the ones I have looked at.
ReplyDeleteNicotina sounds heavenly. I love the smell of jasmine. I wonder if I could grow it here in Massachusetts?
ReplyDeleteThe apple is perfect. Just beautiful, Jan.
PERFECT!!
