Ruby Tuesday

An apple placed in my garden, (I don't grow them).  The leaves and shadows are from the nicotina plant; it has beautiful flowers and a heavenly scent, like jasmine, but all parts of the plant are poisonous.
Ruby Tuesday is the brain-child of Mary at Work of the Poet go visit all the Ruby people there.

  1. YUM! I LOVE apples.

I love the aroma of nicotiana, especially the white-flowering ones.

  4. Mmm, what sweet pictures, love the top one.

I've always wanted a fragrant tobacco plant, but I've never manage to make them work in my garden or in my flower boxes, they never get that scent and they attract lots of bugs (the nasty kind)...:/

  5. I really like these shots Jan.
Love the shadows in the first shot and I'm drawn to the top of the apple in the second one. Love the pattern of the peel.

  8. Thanks for the warning!

Actually, aren't jasmines also poisonous? Seems like it.

I hope it didn't poison your apple, that would be a shame!

  9. Nicotina. I'll have to remember that. Maybe that's what I smell sometimes when something smells wonderful but I don't see any flowers around. I look around thinking, "What is that smell!?"

  13. I like the first shot, especially, because of the shadows!! Somehow, I think this is the Ruby Tuesday shot I have liked the best, of all the ones I have looked at.

  14. Nicotina sounds heavenly. I love the smell of jasmine. I wonder if I could grow it here in Massachusetts?

The apple is perfect. Just beautiful, Jan.
