On Friday, we drove to Long Beach, my home town. Our purpose was to visit the Tall Ships, visiting the harbor. Well, we saw the ships, but visits were be reservation only, made in advance, and only on the weekend. Oh, well, such is life. It was a beautiful day, and we had a great time. Above you can see the ships with the Queen Mary in the background.

Great water shots. I love the Queen Mary in the background.
ReplyDeleteI like those shots. Too bad you didn't get to go aboard any of them. I would love to see ships like this.
ReplyDeleteThe Tall Ships are such a wonderful sight to see. Wish I'd been there with you!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, all of them. I was down at the Queen Mary not that long ago. It wasn't where I thought I was going but I wasn't disappointed.

very nautical and yet cool at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI love tall ships. There is one in Erie , Penna on Lake Erie called the Niagara. It's a wonderful ship and sails the Great Lakes in the summer. We got a chance to tour it several years ago. What a unique experiene.

Beautiful photos :) Tall ships are so romantic! I had the chance to tour a similar ship a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteVery nice WW images. I remember touring the Queen Mary many years ago. Long Beach is a really cool city now. Enjoy the sunshine. Greetings from Northern Cal.
ReplyDeleteJan, did you see any pelicans? I love The Tall Ships. It's hard to imagine the upkeep on them but they're well worth the effort, at least from the dockside point of view.
ReplyDeleteThis one is a beauty! reminds me on the pier in Philippines. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteI love the water and boats.
